Today I met the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Eric Pickles when he visited Hadleigh Old Fire Station and toured the artist studios. Olympic rifle-shooting hopeful, James Huckle from Harlow also came up to the studios to take a look round.
The restored station clock, which stopped at ten-to-three when the fire service moved out of the building, was ceremonially re-started by Eric Pickles to mark the final phase of the building's return to being the iconic centre of Hadleigh.
