Hadleigh Art Trail 8th - 15th October 2011

Looking forward to participating in the very first Hadleigh Art Trail. All studios at Hadleigh Old Fire Station will be open to the public for the weekend 8th & 9th October 2011.

My Fine Art practice is developing around the notion of 'place' and identity. Hadleigh, Essex will be the focus for creating site-specific artwork that evokes a 'sense of place'. I am particularly interested in community engagement with contemporary art and its role in urban regeneration.

Hadleigh, famous for its castle (once painted by John Constable), will host the London 2012 mountain biking event. As the town undergoes a planned regeneration I will be sharing a studio in the decommissioned and newly refurbished Fire Station, which has recently opened as an Arts & Community Centre and information point for the Olympic Games.
